Nevada City Veteran's Memorial Building The Nevada City Veteran's Building is becoming a popular venue for special events, social functions, fund raisers, seminars and meetings. The Facility Rental Contract is posted here for your convenience, however rental dates and times must be confirmed with the Parks & Recreation Department. All building users must abide by the Use Guidelines. Pioneer Park Rentals The Picnic Areas, Amphitheater, Seaman's Lodge and the field can be reserved for private parties or other events.  You can view the Park Reservations Calendar to help with planning your event. Recreation Classes The Nevada City Veteran's Building also serves as our local Community Center. The building is available for classes and programs that are open to the public. The Parks & Recreation Department is looking for experienced instructors to lead leisure and enrichment classes for the residents of Nevada City and the surrounding area. Classes can include, but are not limited to visual and performing arts, nature and science, Mommy & Me classes, health & wellness, financial planning, do-it-yourself, etc. If you are an experienced instructor, call 265-2496 x129 for more information.
